Herma’s News – Margo Silver this Saturday and Mondays in May

When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves. – William Arthur Ward

Dear Customers,

Many wonderful events are taking place at Herma’s in coming days and we hope you will be part of it!

Margot Silver’s – The Beauty of Pasta Event

THIS SATURDAY, April 29th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., complimentary

What Herma has to say about Margot’s Beauty of Pasta Event…

I am extremely proud to once again introduce Margot Silver. Many of you have met Margot over the years. Her love of cooking is contagious. She is an artist in the kitchen and is always working on a new canvas. On Saturday she will be sharing her love and knowledge of olive oils, pastas, and vinegars. Foods she will be introducing will be…

Caponi Pappardelle – Orecchiette – Caponi Tagliolini – Florentina – Pasta Gambier Fra Diavolo with Shrimp & Capers – Limone with Linguini, Pancetta, Roasted Garlic, & Fresh Lemon Cream Sauce – Puttanesca SACLA

We hope you will join us for this cornucopia of foods to taste and new culinary experiences to be had. This will be a festive occasion that can only truly be presented and shared by the one and only, Margot Silver.

Sincerely, Herma

Mondays in May – Village Grocer Lunches

Herma’s Studio

May 1st (Pastas) – May 8th (Meat) – May 15th (Chicken) 12 p.m. in the Studio, $29.99

The Village Kitchen creates wonderful frozen dishes in their own kitchen using fresh ingredients, saving those that purchase them time away from the kitchen and eliminating a lot of the clean up that occurs after preparing a complicated meal. At Herma’s we want to show you how you might serve these meals and spruce them up to make them your own. Three Mondays in May we will be serving these tasty meals in our studio and offering advice on how to best prepare.

Call 905-885-9250 to reserve your spot at our table. The first Monday meal will occur this week. Please have your credit card ready. Thanks.

Also ask about our Mother’s Day and Father’s Day luncheons along with our Victoria Day Tea ($69.50 each)!

Cheese Department

Beppino Occelli’s in foglie Castagno

While Margot is in the Studio presenting her lovely Italian foods and pastas, Cathy and Margaret will be presenting some fantastic Italian cheeses to compliment those foods. Two cheeses of special mention are Beppino Occelli’s Castagno wrapped in chestnut leaves and Carozzi’s Cremiziola, which is a delicious creamy, veined Gorgonzola. Sample these cheeses and others on Saturday!

NEW at Herma’s

Wood Fired Pizza (Pesto Quattro Pizza and The Blue Duck Pizza) from Vintage Pizza Pie Co. may be found in our freezers. Tastes just like pizzas served in restaurants with wood burning ovens. Mmm…delicious.

Bridal & Gift Registry

Sophie Conran

Taco has intricately planned out our Bridal & Gift Registry to the finest detail and he is excited to guide those wanting the Herma’s Gift Registry experience. A detailed brochure will be available soon for you to peruse. If you are interested in creating a bridal or gift registry now, be sure to call 905-885-9250 or email Taco at taco@hermas.ca. It is our highest priority to see that your experience is a special one.

Always room for new ideas! We would like your feedback.

We are always trying to improve and are open to finding out how you feel we may move forward in the future. Herma has many ideas – from placing your food orders over the phone for weekend pickups -to- offering flank steaks cooked and sliced ready for you to take home. We are also wondering if cooked salmon might be well-received. Please share your thoughts and ideas by emailing us at customerservice@hermas.ca.

We hope you will join us for our Beauty of Pasta event this Saturday. Have a lovely weekend.

Best Wishes,

Meredith Ender
